Middle School
Matthew Doige, Secondary Principal
Middle School is the most dynamic, energetic, confusing and influential time in a student's education. We believe that every one of our students deserves the opportunity to explore and question, to accumulate and understand experiences that matter, and to discover the core of what makes them unique, while being strongly supported in their social and emotional development. We believe in fostering the growth of not only powerful learners, but those, who can meaningfully connect their learning to the world through empathy.
Todd Brink, Secondary Assistant Principal
Welcome to Shekou International School's Middle School. We are proud to share with you some of the teaching and learning taking place at our Net Valley campus every day.
Students in the Middle School enjoy a challenging academic curriculum, fostering a love of learning, and enhancing a feeling of self worth. Middle School students have the opportunity to explore a variety of core subjects and follow their interests through electives, as well as the rich after school activity and ‘Week Without Walls' programs. SIS middle schoolers use technology as a learning tool to work collaboratively, think critically about the world around them and to communicate effectively with others.
The middle years are a time of great growth, and the talented and dedicated SIS staff work in partnership with parents to ensure that our students maximize their potential in both their academic and social/emotional development at this crucial time.
We hope that through this website you will get a sense of the increasingly sophisticated thinking and learning our students are involved in at the SIS Middle School. I invite you to explore our website, and if you are not already a member of the SIS community, come see what an excellent and exciting school we have here at Net Valley.
Best wishes,
