Job Openings

We thank you for your interest in Shekou International School. We seek interest from dynamic and committed teachers and leaders for the future. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to become part of a highly motivated professional staff and community and live in one of the most dynamic cities in Asia.

We prefer teachers who have full teacher certification and licenses. For primary teachers, a master’s degree in education or teaching is desired. At the middle and high school levels, a master’s degree in the discipline to be taught is preferred. Qualification, experience, or training in EAL is beneficial for all teachers. As an IB World School offering the IB PYP and IB DP, we prefer those with experience in this framework.

While every attempt is made to coordinate the applications of teaching couples, it is strongly recommended that each partner submit a separate application.

The SIS community is close and committed to continuous improvement. Our teachers and administrators work in highly integrated collaborative teams. Expectations are high, and the opportunities for professional development are rich and significant. Compensation is competitive, and the earning/savings potential is excellent.

Our school is situated in one of China's most dynamic, modern cities, directly across the bay from Hong Kong. Situated 30 minutes from the Shenzhen and Hong Kong airports, travel to all parts of Asia, and the world is convenient. Living standards are high, with all amenities available and convenient. Applicants should have relevant experience and a desire to be active in a school that is committed to excellence.
