The 9th and 10th grade Social Studies team, in conjunction with the Learning Innovation Team, produced an exhibition of student work called Parallel Wars at Bayside on Friday, May 5th. Students investigated the similarities and differences between the first and second world wars, and created videos and podcasts to showcase their learning. The museum's unique structure invited visitors to compare and contrast these experiences in order to make connections between these often "parallel" wars. The event was well attended by the SIS community and there was a lot of great feedback. Students especially appreciated the mature and professional setting, as well as the chance to engage in meaningful discussions with visitors about their work. Everyone is looking forward to the possibility of producing an even better version next year!
